About:

Ana Mascarenhas was born in Lisbon on July 28, 1969. With a postgraduate degree in Business Management, she dedicated over 30 years to the field of Information and Communication Technologies. However, at the age of 55, she decided to redefine her life's direction, retiring to immerse herself in photography and artistic creation.

Art has always been present in her life: Ana is the author of several books of poetry and prose, as well as two photography books, with more projects in development. Her passion for photography reflects the same sensitivity that characterizes her writing, capturing emotions, telling stories, and immortalizing moments. Her approach goes beyond the simple reproduction of reality, seeking to provoke reflection and challenge the viewer's perceptions.

She refuses to be limited by conventional photographic genres or styles. Her art is, by nature, eclectic and free an authentic expression of the imagination in constant motion. She can explore the raw beauty of a remote tribe, abstract forms from a still life, capture the dynamism of a game or movement, or the serenity of nature. She can also create visual narratives from spaces that invite interaction—such as restaurants, hotels, or private homes—by photographing environments and transforming them into images that reflect the identity and soul of each place, making them as unique as their owners and the themes that define them.

Her work seeks to travel through time and the dimensions of creativity, using photography as a medium to express a unique vision of the world. Her Art is a meeting point between imagination and reality, where technique and sensitivity merge, creating visual narratives that stimulate new interpretations and revelations.

It is the freezing of a moment transitioning into the feelings of each observer.
